Sarah joins HeadwayHealth for the first part of 2024 as part of her Master’s in Counselling with the University of Canberra, ACT.  Sarah has a genuine passion and interest in other’s life experiences and supporting others journey through life.  She offers empathy and a genuine care combined with a person-centred and supportive collaborative approach to counselling which she is refining during her Master’s level training.  Sarah is highly skilled at connecting with others due to an open and non-judgemental approach developed over 20 years as a high school teacher and year advisor, as well as four years volunteering in crisis support with Lifeline. Sarah has lived experience of her own cancer recovery as well as having been a parent supporting a young adult through cancer treatment.  Outside of work andstudy, Sarah enjoys the chaos life with a large family, connection with her local community, and a variety of high energy sports including swimming, hiking and camping – even in the snow!Qualifications: B.Ed (Hons), Grad Dip Human Resource Management, Grad Cert Adult Education, Cert IV Training and AssessmentWorking with children and Police checkSupervisor: Emily Dylan Consultant Psychologist HeadwayHealth ServicesUniversity course facilitator:  Danni Bocevski, Placement Team, School of Health Sciences, University of Caberra
