Lisa has two decades of experience working as a Psychologist with adults, young adults and children.  Lisa brings a warm, empathic approach to create a safe space for collaboratively working with you to identify your concerns, establish your goals, and provide strategies to enhance your emotional wellbeing.  Lisa is keen to assist you with a range of concerns such as anxiety, stress and depression, as well as strategies to support you in living with grief and loss, living with uncertainty, and coping with change/adjustments at different stages of your life.  Lisa also has a strong interest in supporting her clients to establish healthy lifestyle patterns, including managing diet, good sleep and exercise patterns to optimise physical wellbeing and health.

Lisa is trained in a range of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and uses other therapeutic interventions where appropriate.  Lisa has a particular interest in working with clients to use mindfulness to help navigate the challenges and demands of life.  Lisa has lived experience of caring for people with chronic illness and advanced cancer, so she brings a depth of understanding to working with family members, carers, loved ones and individuals living with complex and chronic health concerns.

Lisa’s wealth of experience is derived from her years of practice as a Consulting Psychologist in both public and private schools and work in private practice since 2004. Her experience in private practice includes several years working within a multidisciplinary care team in a medical practice with General Practitioners, medical specialists and other allied health professionals to respectfully work together to support each person’s physical and emotional wellbeing.
