HeadwayHealth provides public education sessions to groups of patients and families/carers affected by a diagnosis of cancer. These have included presentations to prostate cancer groups, breast support groups and general cancer groups, as well as more interactive workshops when longer time periods are available. Popular topics are strategies for dealing with cancer, talking to children, and managing uncertainty.

Our team has provided recent presentations to the North Shore Hospital Prostate Cancer Group, Ovarian Cancer Australia’s Sydney Support Group, Jacaranda Lodge’s Cancer Support Centre at Sydney Adventist Hospital, and the Encore YMCA Recovery After Breast Cancer program. Katharine is a regular contributor to the Early Breast Cancer Information Group and the Y-Pink Young Women and Cancer Group at the Mater Hospital, Sydney.
